Who we are
Founded by Matthew Ryan, built around the Sandhills
Matthew Ryan started Sandhills Shine to solve a problem that anyone in Pinehurst knows well: world-class golf courses, busy households, and no good way to get a car detailed without blocking out half a day to drive it somewhere and wait. Mobile service eliminated that entirely.
Seven years ago, that was one van and one detailer. Today it's a five-person crew covering Moore, Richmond, Scotland, Hoke, Lee, and Cumberland counties. The crew is bigger, the calendar books further out, and the range has expanded — but the process hasn't changed. Every detailer works from the same chemical list, the same pre-service inspection routine, and the same finish standard Matthew established at the start.
Over a thousand vehicles through the books — sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks, and everything the Sandhills throws at a detail service: golf carts parked at the club, Range Rovers out of Pinehurst, daily drivers coated in spring pollen from the longleaf pines. Each one gets the same treatment.
All products are pH-balanced and paint-safe across the board — BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, ceramic coatings, PPF wraps, and every factory finish in between. Whatever's in the driveway, the crew is trained on it.
